OACM President H.E. Kristijan Curavic officially met and welcomed the Honorable Abdulfas Garayev, former Minister of Tourism of Azerbaijan, to the OACM. Mr. Garayev will cooperate with the OACM on developing the environmental tourism sector in the Black Sea and Turkic State region.

This initiative will help nations implement more sustainable policies, ensuring economic growth while preserving biodiversity. OACM High Representative for the Black Sea and Mediterranean Michael B. Christides is working with Mr. Garayev to create the first Certified SAFE Marine Area in the Caspian Sea.

The program was initially introduced by former President of the Republic of Croatia H.E. Stjepan Mesic to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Alyev.
