During the Global Tourism Forum in Brussels on October 20-21st, the OACM Administration, led by President H.E. Kristijan Curavic and Michael B. Christides, met with the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) delegation.

Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS, and accompanied by Ambassador Balázs Hendrich, Executive Director of the OTS Representation Office in Hungary, and Mr. Ali Kılıçarslan Topuz, Project Director at the OTS Representation Office in Hungary, initiated one of the most important environmental programs focused on the tourism sector.

The OACM is prepared to support the OTS member states with a €10 million CSMA Bond donation. This represents the largest financial donation focused on boosting national economies through empowering local communities.

The program was welcomed by H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States. Within the next few weeks, the OTS and OACM administrations will go through operational and administrative aspects, which include initiating direct communication with OTS member states, ministers, and heads of states.

The OTS has clearly shown an innovative spirit and recognized the importance of the international cooperation required to deal with today's environmental threats, including ocean, lake, and river pollution.
